I’ve not been doing much with my photography of late. I have been working on my new model railway, then replaced the bottom half of our bilevel house stairs and railings (still needs sanding and varnish), and because we are going to the Sunshine Coast in the fall, am building a kayak, skin on frame, something called a Chuckanut 15, designed by Dave Gentry.
On the other hand, I chose this particular kayak because it’s especially stable and has plenty of room to carry my camera gear. I know it would have been invaluable when we visited Hornby Island last year, accessing the rock formations from the water, and there are some interesting spots on the Sunshine Coast that should be fun from the water.
It’s a flat water casual kayak, not something for white water, surf or large waves, but still…
